Blood donation program at UAP

 

Social Awareness Club, UAP has conducted a Blood Donation Program in cooperation with the Quantum Foundationon15-16 May, 2017. In this camp, overwhelming number of volunteers of different departments of university have participated with cheerfulness.

The program started in the morning and continued till 5:00 pm at UAP Plaza. Students were the major donors and faculties were the motivators. During the camp total 120 volunteers participated in the registration process and after preliminary on-site medical screening for health history, body weight and blood pressure nearly 94 individuals were selected for the donation.These 94 donors were screened for Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, Syphilis, AIDS, Malaria at free of cost. The donors were also given a donor card from Quantum Foundation. With this card, they and their family members will get blood at time of need from Quantum Foundation. Social Awareness Club honored the donors by light refreshment with a token of appreciation for their valuable contribution in this noble task. Usually the club recognized the donors,who have donated blood more than three times.

MahjabeenGazi, advisor of the Social Awareness Club congratulated the donors for their noble contribution and thanked the university authority for organizing this blood donation camp before Ramadan. She also thanked the team of the Social Awareness Clubfor their endless strength to make this event successful.
